NEW Choose Your Medium Painting Class with Jeanne LaRae

When: Wednesday, June 5th, 2019 (4 week session)
Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Where: Central Art
Fee: $120

Choose your own painting adventure in a creative setting that's as individualized as you'd like it to be. Students will be able to choose both their medium - oils or acrylics - and the subject matter they'd like to paint.

In this class, the techniques of artists who inspire you will be demystified, and you will be encouraged, but not pushed, to try various ways of painting that are a little outside your comfort zone.

Please bring examples of your work and ideas for possible subjects for your paintings to the first class. Students are responsible for their own materials, or you may discuss with Jeanne about providing supplies for you for each class or just to start.

All levels are welcome. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Call 541-773-1444 or visit Central Art today and pay to register.

GOLDEN Days Gel Medium Image Transfer Workshop

When: June 7th, 2019
Where: Central Art classroom
Time: 2:00pm-5:00pm
Fee: $45.00

We are kicking off June with number 4 of our GOLDEN Days Workshops! You will learn how to take your favorite images and transfer them onto various surfaces. We will have several transfers pre-made for you to try on several materials including wood panels, raw canvas, stretched canvas, Ampersand Claybord, and paper.

We will do one black line image, one sepia image (onto a panel prepared with GOLDEN Crackle Paste to create an “old fashioned” photo effect), one full-color image and grey tone image that we will hand-tint with GOLDEN acrylics.

You can bring an image with you (or use one of ours) that you will use to learn how to apply the gel medium to create the transfer skin. This will need to be printed on a laser printer or photocopier. Ink-jet inks can smear when the gel medium is applied.

You will have plenty of goodies to take home to continue the fun with this multi-application process. We are sure you will find several ways to apply it to your creative projects!

Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. Call 541.773.1444 or come by the store and reserve your spot today! Payment is due at time of registration.
