Southern Oregon Plein Air 2018

Artists’ Workshop of Southern Oregon and Central Art Supply present Southern Oregon Plein Air, June 20 through June 23, 2018.

Southern Oregon Plein Air 2018 invites artists of all levels to participate in four days of plein air painting. Artists will participate in one of two categories; Emerging Artist or Established Artist.

Southern Oregon Plein Air 2018 will be preceded by two optional plein air painting workshops conducted by this year’s Juror, Portland artist, Aimee Erickson, and Charleston, Oregon watercolor artist, Vinita Pappas.

Aimee will present a painting demonstration in the evening on Monday, June 18.

Vinita will present a painting demonstration in the evening on Tuesday, June 19.

Both demonstrations will be open to the public.

Just Paint!....And Make Your Efforts Count!

2-Day Workshop with Instructor Cheryl Magellen
When: Saturday and Sunday, July 28 and 29 • 9:00am to 4:00pm with one hour lunch break

Oil, acrylic, or pastel • All subjects from realism to abstraction • $120 for both days
All skill levels • Absolute beginners welcome! • Minimum: 6 Maximum: 12 students

Guided instruction to make your drawing and painting skills stronger! Let’s pay special attention to design and composition, and then we can work together to improve our technical skills, focusing on values, color choices, edge treatments, and personal style to arrive at a suitable degree of finish.
This workshop is meant to be a hands-on event, tailored to the specific needs of each artist. Participants who register early and email Cheryl before July 20 will receive a special program of study geared specifically to their skill level and area of focus. This will be like having a private lesson in a group setting!

Never painted before and would like to try? No problem. Email ahead and the supplies you need will be ready and waiting for you.*

Plan on spending lunch in the classroom on Sunday so you don’t miss the special “Round-Robin” painting experience!
