Instructor Bio:
Silvia Trujillo is an artist and an art instructor originally from West Hollywood, California. She began studying art through fashion design in the 1970s, then turned her focus to fine art and painting in the 80s. Studying with a series of notable artist instructors including Wayne Theibaud, Terry Miura, Suchitra Bohsle, and Susan Sarback, Trujillo now continues to expand, experiment, explore, and move in new directions with her creations.
Trujillo paintings have appeared in the Crocker Art Museum, the California State Capitol-Office of the Governor, and the Haggin Art Museum. Corporate and private collecters throughout North & South America, Asia, and Europe are proud owners of her work.
Silvia travels frequently in search of new landscapes and subjects to paint. One weekend may find her in a remote cabin on the Oregon Coast, the next in Napa Valley. She loves plein air painting; her particular passions are water, earth, sky, fields, and florals. Trujillo lives in Southern Oregon, where she is active in the local art scene. When she isn?t painting or teaching art, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and studying spirituality.
