CONNIE WRIGHT: THE POTTER'S BROKEN BOWL 1-Day Workshop (June)

The Potter's Broken Bowl is based on Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold paint. In this class, artists will experience how to break, repair, decorate, and embellish bowls with gold paint. The Potter's Broken Bowl serves as a metaphor for life by welcoming, embracing, and accepting our true selves with strength, power and resiliency. Come join in and express your artistic creative self.
All levels are welcome.
MATERIALS
- Acrylic paints (your color choice)
- A variety of paint brushes (2-3)
- "Crafty" materials: collage items, buttons, ribbon etc.
- Water container for brushes
- Paper towels/paint rag
NOTE: All other materials provided (with special surprises) and the BOWL!
*Bring a snack or light lunch.

Instructor Bio: | Connie has lived in Southern Oregon for over 12 years. She has traveled widely and experienced deeply, with an ever-hopeful outlook for life and what treasures the future may offer. She has always been an artist since childhood and enjoys creating whimsical artifacts. During her teaching and counseling career she has focused on play, sandtray and art therapy techniques. These experiences are key to forming the bridge to The Potter's Broken Bowl. Connie welcomes all to take part in this beautiful experience. From Ashes to Beauty! |
