Overview:
This workshop is about loosening up, tuning in, and expressing not what you see—but what you feel. We’ll begin with quick, intuitive compositions using limited values and expressive gestures, then build color-based mood studies with vibrant pigments and intentional mark-making. This process is an invitation to step beyond realism and into the emotional atmosphere of your painting.
All Skill Levels welcome.

Recommended Materials for Drawing
- 9x12 pad of mid-toned drawing paper
- Soft 4B charcoal pencil
- White pastel pencil
- Kneaded eraser
- Blending stump

- Quinacridone Magenta
- Indian Yellow or Diarylide Yellow
- Cerulean Blue or Cobalt Blue
- Dioxazine Violet
- Viridian Green or Phthalo Green
- Alizarin Crimson or Transparent Red Oxid
- Titanium White
- Payne’s Grey or Ivory Black
Tools & Supplies
- Acrylic brushes: ¼ -1” sizes (as in other kits)
- Palette - paper, plastic, or glass
- Palette knife (as in other kits)
- Water container
- Rag or paper towels
- Acrylic glazing medium (GOLDEN brand, small size)
- 9x12” or larger canvas panels - inexpensive gessoed canvas
