ROSEBURG ASHLEY ELLINGTON: INTRODUCTION TO CHARCOAL PRACTICES



Location: Central Art (ROSEBURG)

Dates: 3rd Friday of each month
Time: 4:30pm-7pm
Max capacity: 10 students 

Fee: $35 per session

Class cancellations made within two weeks of the start date will NOT be refunded (exceptions may be considered on an individual basis for unforeseen emergencies).

 

In this class we will delve into how to effectively use charcoal to create depth and shape through blending and layering. We will also study how to see shape through replication of images and objects.

Class is recommended for beginner to intermediate levels.


MATERIALS


-General's Getting Started with Charcoal (Charcoal kit)
  Contains charcoal pencils, vine charcoal, compressed charcoal sticks, and a kneaded eraser

-General's Compressed Charcoal White

-Primo Euro White Pencil

-Blending stumps (medium sized or the assorted pack)

-Strathmore Drawing Sketchbook (or any sketchbook that has drawing specified on the cover)
