Fee: $50/session

Missed Class Policy: Your paid enrollment reserves your space for the full monthly session. Missed classes are not deducted from the class fee. When space allows, one makeup class may be arranged for currently enrolled students, with instructor approval.


Cancellation Policy: Class cancellations made within two weeks of the start date will NOT be refunded (exceptions may be considered on an individual basis for unforeseen emergencies).

An Introduction to Painting

Have you always wanted to paint but weren't sure where to begin?

This class is designed to remove the mystery and intimidation from painting. Whether you're completely new to art, returning after many years away, or simply curious about the different painting mediums, you'll find a welcoming and supportive place to start.

What You'll Learn

• How a painting is built from the ground up
• How artists use shapes, values, and color to create a painting
• The strengths and challenges of different painting mediums
• How to approach painting with confidence instead of fear
• Why making art is both enjoyable and rewarding

The goal is simple: to show that painting is not nearly as complicated as it appears. With a few fundamental concepts and the right guidance, anyone can begin the journey.

Students will have the opportunity to experiment with:

• Watercolor
• Acrylic
• Oil
• Soft Pastel

No experience is necessary. Just sign up and show up.
